Maintenance yard is starting to take shape. A few details will help finish it off. The background scenery above the roundhouse still needs to be constructed.

The small farm house is waiting for the family and animals to show up.

Town site looks a little bare but right now, but after a ciesta things will come to life. More lighting will also be installed along the streets to help create a nice atmosphere for a night scene.

Town square will eventually have a open market. Behind the church tower you can see a simple solution to help prevent a locomotive from falling off the layout if the train derails. I chose this approach instead of using items such as plexiglass or wooden barriers since I thought that the scenery would help enhance the visual effect of the layout and still serve the purpose of protection. I have done this to many sections of the layout.
